Fantastic library. Good place to go work if you’re in town and need to get something done. Amazing hanging system suspends all the books from the ceiling.
You won't think about quesadillas the same way again. Handmade blue corn masa, doing her own nixtamalization, with your choice of fillings. Right at the corner of Puebla and Orizaba.
Tasty tasty quesadillas with homemade blue corn dough. Stuff with cheese and zucchini blossoms for maximal enjoyment. (Hint: this is a tent on the side of the street.)
This was my first stop and I'm glad it was. The cocinita pibil is epic.
Only one thing on the menu here with a few different ways to have it wrapped. However, the cochinita pibil deserves only the finest: fried taco format.
Omnomarepa! Thanks Mira!

Scott Baird told me this is where to go for cocktails in DF. He did not lead me astray. Intimate speakeasy space, passionate about making their own ingredients in-house.
Excellent cocktails in a cozy bar. Try El Cabezon for a green experience.
Gabriela Cámara brings La Dolce Vita to life in DF. Remarkable seafood, lunch only. The only threat of being upstaged would be from the scene itself.
Great fish. Don't miss the Tuna Bruschetta.
A perfect early morning fix of chicharrones, milanesas, frijoles with huevos. They have a cult following and start serving at dawn, usually run out by 9 or 10am.
Come here if you fly in on a red-eye. Sells out by 9am. Cafe de olla and the chicharonnes rojo are a must. Milanesa is also tasty, with a deliciously refreshing avocado salsa.

Imagine eating dinner in a treehouse. Now imagine that the treehouse is in Mexico City. Duck specials, the caramelized brioche dessert and a nightcap called the Carajillo are *not* to be missed! Great Mezcal menu as well.
Because.... Mezcal. All mezcal all the time. The woman who runs the bar is Mezcal Savant.
Teach me all the Mezcals!
The tortilla maker at Fonda Beatricita. A comforting adorable homestyle Mexican diner. The mole is surprisingly complex... The service very friendly. The pozole is pretty special
